I have been having an intermittant problem with my '93TT running on 5 cylinders. Nissan dealer diagnosed as bad fuel injector in cylinder #3. I ran injector cleaner and for a while it ran OK but then eventually failed again. This on and off again continued for a while. I checked the impedance of the suspect injector multiple times. When the car was shut off just after running properly the impedance bounced around from 60 to 90 ohms. When the car was shut off when running on just 5 cylinders injector #3 measured as open. I took my car to a Z specialty shop who confirmed the diagnosis and replaced all the injectors and performed the 60k timing belt service. I opted for the P2 injector conversion kit from Deatchwerks as I have had issues with the ethanol content in the fuel gumming up the injectors in the past. Got the car back and it ran great for about a month. Parked it in the garage and went out of town for a week. When I started it back up it immediately was running on 5 cylinders again! Took back to Z specialty shop and they claim injector #3 is not working properly again although impedance is within spec. This seems very coincidental. Any suggestions before the plenum gets pulled again? Appreciate the help!
